CAP: All about the Council
on Alcohol Problems. CAP is 100% church-related and
is accountable to more than 40 denominations represented on the
CAP board of directors. CAP's programs include alcohol and
other drug prevention and education activities within the churches,
and outreach and legislation monitoring (tracking bills).
CAGE: The Coalition
Against Gambling Expansion. More information
regarding CAGE is forthcoming.
ANEF: The Alcohol
Narcotics Education Foundation. ANEF engages
exclusively in research and education in the problems of alcohol
and drugs. ANEF maintains a library of prevention videos, and has
published brochures and textbooks for use in the churches and public
schools. The ANEF library is open for use by students and researchers.
Video tapes may be borrowed by schools and or churches.

Contribute: CAP and
ANEF are both non-profit organizations that are exempt from corporate
taxes. The U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has designated ANEF
as a 501c(3) organization - contributions to ANEF are fully tax
deductible. CAP as a 501c(4) organization - because CAP is directly
involved in influencing legislation, contributions to CAP are not
tax deductible. The financial records of CAP and ANEF are audited
annually by a CPA.
Newsletter: 'California
Capitol Re-CAP' is a free newsletter mailed 7 times annually. Capitol
Re-CAP keeps our readership current on legislation, ballot iniatives,
published research, and relevant news dealing with alcohol and gambling.
